Gardening Days

The first day of gardening was simply amazing! We worked for hours preparing the garden filling the beds with soil, pulling weeds, getting two smaller beds bordered off and the list could go on and on. So many people showed up to help with the kids garden, we had so much fun working together.

With the season just beginning there is so much to look forward to, and so many projects to start. It's very exciting and very fun knowing that there is a place where children can be involved, grow. We have started this blog so that we can post what's going on in the garden, let you see the pictures of us hard at work and share our thoughts and videos with you along the way.

Yesterday we worked hard and redid the herb bed, made a strawberry patch and we had our very handy helpers build us 'a' frames for our beans, peas and zucchini's.

We planted:
Parsley
Soleil Zucchini
Rhubarb
Gladiola
Blueberry
Peas
Beans
Savoy Cabbage, Purple Cabbage and regulare Cabbage
Spinach
Cauliflower
Broccoli
Thyme
Tomato

Next week we will be planting the chamomile, savoury, lemon bergamot, cucumber
and more tomato plants. Stay tuned to see all the things that we continue to do, and maybe when
you have some extra time in your schedule you should join us.
